“Homo sum, humani nihil a me alienium puto” -Terence

“I am human, nothing human is alien to me.”

Husband (partner; Dori) and Father of four (4); Levii, Eden, Sion, and Nalani. SeanKorey never thought that he would be entertaining the idea of becoming a photographer.

Though he was born a creative - being sketching at the age of 6, writing poetry and lyricism at the age of 10, he started acting and dancing in junior high school, and he played drums for a Chicago gospel quartet (Traveling Kings) at the age of 13. In college, he even studied acting. However, adult life led him on a different path entirely.

Enlisting in to the Air Force in 2007, he had a 12 year career as Fuel System Maintenance Craftsman. After leaving the military he found himself on a career path completely different from the former as a Senior Facility Manager for the AFRL DSRC (Air Force Research Lab DoD Supercomputing Resource Center).

SeanKorey started dabbling in photography in high school, gaining inspiration from his great uncle (Benjamin Johnson) who was a published photographer out of Huntsville, AL. However, it wasn’t until after the birth of his third son, Sion, that SeanKorey purchased his first “real” camera. From that point on he regained his love for the art and for humanity. He has learned through his journey that being behind the lens allows one to see the true nature of a subject in a deeper manner. His approach to photography is simple, “Find humanity in every moment.”
